I haven't found the mysteries as interesting either, but the digressions to include so much of the personal relationships are a distraction that doesn't help.jenclairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06046532245054911248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22616974.post-56372626517259368972012-04-13T09:27:45.995-05:002012-04-13T09:27:45.995-05:00Jenclair:

The back story of the relationships between Lynley, Helen, Simon, Deborah, and Havers were well played and as the books went on that was lost, for me anyway.Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00029895022186304294noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22616974.post-49170222321773521612012-04-13T07:29:35.552-05:002012-04-13T07:29:35.552-05:00Kim - I'm wondering if I should go back and r...Kim - I'm wondering if I should go back and read some of the earlier book for comparison. The last two are both on my shelf, paitently waiting for me to get around to them, because I buy them when they first come out. Something about 600+ pages, though, does not inspire me to start reading a mystery.Sam https://www.blogger.com/profile/17448913705757509608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22616974.post-15363028910716023752012-04-12T05:32:56.399-05:002012-04-12T05:32:56.399-05:00I haven't read her yet but the book I got - fo...I haven't read her yet but the book I got - for the Sake of Elena or something like that - is an older one, so I hope it will be quite good.
Some series are so long, maybe this one has run out of steam?Carolinehttp://beautyisasleepingcat.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22616974.post-39674917472215147092012-04-11T17:12:37.660-05:002012-04-11T17:12:37.660-05:00Aren't her books getting longer and longer and...Aren't her books getting longer and longer and longer too? What's that about? I'm so behind on this series. Maybe 5 books back or so. I know about Helen. Can't decide whether to quit this one entirely. I may. So many other series out there. I've quit Patricia Cornwell and both the Kellerman's. Sigh.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
