Your description reminded me of a recent read, Evil and the Mask where the author makes you wonder about evil and can you make someone evil. Good stuff for discussion!Ilianahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07026669671843769219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22616974.post-24999521055412090532014-02-07T07:09:45.297-06:002014-02-07T07:09:45.297-06:00Wendy (LF)- I find the idea of a child with no emp...Wendy (LF)- I find the idea of a child with no empathy chilling. Deliberate cruelty in someone so young just boggles the mind. jenclairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06046532245054911248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22616974.post-33875876441668804632014-02-07T06:58:02.480-06:002014-02-07T06:58:02.480-06:00vicki - I will definitely add Beautiful Lies to my...vicki - I will definitely add Beautiful Lies to my wishlist! This book sounds like something I'd like.

I remember seeing The Bad Seed many years ago. It reminded me of my best friend of the time's younger sister. She didn't kill anyone (that I know of), but she seemed to be heading in that direction. She could be the most perfect child when she wanted to be--or so you'd think--but there was definitely a cruel (and criminal) side to her.Literary Felinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13079276242303738719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22616974.post-37478030327292403002014-02-06T12:16:09.001-06:002014-02-06T12:16:09.001-06:00It is a hit or miss kind of thing on NetGalley. And even then, deciding what you might enjoy becomes a dilemma. I've had so many great books from this source, but some duds, too. It is especially nice when they offer a new listing by an author you already like!jenclairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06046532245054911248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22616974.post-59157840298325151082014-02-06T12:11:14.025-06:002014-02-06T12:11:14.025-06:00I really should explore on NetGalley, more.
