First, an interesting article about the new biography of Beatrix Potter, BEATRIX POTTER: a LIFE IN NATURE by Linda Lear. Another biography to add to the list.
And this link to the Fantasy & Sci-Fi Lovin' Blog is for Carl and Angela.
I listened to this interview with Maureen Corrigan the other day on NPR. So many of you have posted good reviews of her book, and this only adds to my interest.
JenClair, I think that first link is broken. It registers (when you position the mouse on top of it) to read just http:///
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jill! I had to re-write the post because Blogger was giving me an error code and guess I got in a hurry. Should be fixed now!
ReplyDeleteYeah, SQT from that Fantasy/SciFi blog found my site a while back. She connected me with a publisher giving out free books in exchange for reviewing them!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the mention of my blog. It's always nice to make new friends. :)
ReplyDeleteHey cool, thanks for the blog link!
ReplyDeleteAngela - Should have known you were already "connected." :)
ReplyDeletesqt - You're welcome - enjoyed my visit.
Carl - Oh, good, it was new to you. Enjoy!
Great links. I got the Corrigan book as a present last year and I couldn't get into it. Which really bummed me out. I mean, how can you not like a book about books right? I'm thinking maybe it was just right book, wrong time syndrome :) One of these days I will try it again.
ReplyDeleteI recently finished the Linda Lear biography and thought it quite interesting and very readable.
ReplyDeleteI hope you pick it up one day !
Iliana - right book, wrong time is something I've certainly experienced, but who knows? Sometimes we just don't like the same books. I'm still interested in Corrigan's book, but my stacks of TBR are full right now!
ReplyDeleteMelrose - I'm making a good start on a list of biographies I want to read, and this is definitely one.
I knew I'd read something about Potter's new biography on someone's blog - must have been yours!
