I've started
The Spanish Bow by Andromeda Romano-Lax! Oh, what luck-- another one that I'm falling in love with! On the first page, I knew that I'd be reading this one without interruption, and I'm almost half-way through now. Another one from Anna at FSB Associates!
Here is a link that has some of the music the author listened to as she wrote and
here, a link that explains her inspiration.
Ooh so good to hear this! I got an ARC of this one so I'm glad to hear you are enjoying it.
ReplyDeleteSounds really good. I'm going to resist adding it to my list until you finish. I know I'm displaying unheard of heroics, but I can be strong. (I can be, I can be, I can...)
ReplyDeleteiliana -- I think we will hear more from and about this author. She's good!
ReplyDeletebooklogged -- I've got 2 copies and would be delighted to send you the uncorrected proof that Ana sent right before sending the hard back. Let me know...
Oh, I just read the inside bits on Amazon and want to get this!! I am resisting until I get home from my travels this week and next...perhaps a good one to take for my Fall sojourn in NY...You read the best books, Jen! =-)
ReplyDeleteI wanted to add: Thanks for the link to the music, it's wonderful...I've been listening to it this morning =-)
ReplyDeleteI'll wait to see your final thoughts, but I know that excitement from opening and book and realizing, "This is one I'm going to love." I felt that way about The Book Thief, from page one. It's still sticking with me, over a year later.
ReplyDeleteYou're on a roll, Jenclair. :-)
ReplyDeleteDebby -- I'm almost finished now and still love it. Isn't the music wonderful? I'm so glad she did that as it adds so much to my ability to empathize.
ReplyDeletebookfool -- This one has been a great pleasure. I loved The Book Thief, too. Very different styles, but both are excellent works!
Sam -- Yeah, I love following one terrific book with another one!
