Absentee

I seem to be having a difficult time deciding on where to put my attention. Lots of family stuff going on (including Bryce Eleanor's baptism this past Saturday), visits from Erin and Max, yard work, doctor appointments, deciding on and purchasing new sewing table (with hydraulic lift!), arrival and assembly of said table, yoga classes and practice, and lots of reading.

But no blog posts. Now, I have to play catch up again. Need to review: A Flaw in the Blood by Stephanie Barron, Cauldron by Jack McDevitt, Death Walked In by Carolyn Hart, and American Bloomsbury by Susan Cheever.

Also need to play catch up with blog reading. I've been computer/internet absent for quite a while and have missed lots of stuff. Oh, and emails to catch up on as well! Now, I'm really discouraged.

  1. It does sound like you've got a lot going on! I was away from the computer for one day and already feel completely behind so I understand :)
Ok, and you must show us a pic of the sewing table with the hydraulic lift! Is it so you won't have to bend as much when cutting?

  2. Oh, don't be discouraged. How can you be discouraged with a new sewing table, especially one with hydraulic lift? Very cool!

  3. 'Tis the season! I find myself very busy this time of year. Lots of spring clean-up and planting in the yard. Garage sale organization. Vacation planning. Entertaining. Birthdays and Mother's Day. Etc., etc. Don't get too discouraged. Just do what you can. We'll wait for you! ;)

  4. You know sometimes when I don't have the time to check all the blogs and review everything, I just give myself a pass and start afresh.

    Enjoy your weekend!

  5. Don't get discouraged. Visit where you can, do what you have to do, and maybe just do a one post quickie review on all those books just to wipe the slate clean? Maybe you just need to get things off your plate that way so you can recharge. We miss you when you are away but totally understand. It sounds like you have A LOT going on. I hope things calm down soon.

  6. I totally understand where you're coming from. There are never enough hours in the day to do all the things we have to do and all the things we want to do.

  7. Breathe. Just breathe. You will get to the important stuff. In the event you don't, maybe they aren't that important in the first place.

  8. Set small goals. Just one thing a day. And when you've mastered how to do that, come over and tell me the secret because I'm every bit as bad as you!

  9. Gosh, I know how you feel! I never know quite where my time is being best spent - reading, blogging, reading blogs, cleaning, all that other "real life" stuff? I suppose that's why days go by with no blog posts from me and I barely notice that they've gone by because I'm so busy! My best advice against being overwhelmed or discouraged (advice that I, of course, fail to take) is to just do what you feel like doing, get it done, and move on to the next - there's no point in wasting time getting so overwhelmed about the stuff you feel like you ought to be doing that you don't get done what you could be doing while you're busy being overwhelmed or discouraged, right? ;-)

  10. That's more than a handful.

  11. I've been gone for a while, also. Don't let it discourage you. Sometimes you just have to set the blog aside for a bit and just live life. It's all good. When you have the time, we'll be here.

    Hydraulic lift? Cool!

  12. Wow! Thanks for the support! I did really short reviews, but have continued to be too busy for much computer time. And I do miss it!
