I'm Back

Oh, without notice I am "unlocked"!! -- of course, it was without notice that I was "locked." Never-the-less, I'm no longer considered a spammer. Hope everyone else is back in production.

Here is a book that I've put on my wish list: A Summer of Hummingbirds: Love, Art, and Scandal in the Intersecting Worlds of Emily Dickinson, Mark Twain, Harriet Beecher Stowe, & Martin Johnson Head. Sounds Delicious!

I'm still not reading, however, things are pretty stalled on that front. Well, except for this sort of thing... This week I have been busy with all sorts of activities with granddaughter Mila and my niece and nephew, Maggie and Matthew.
I've heard an awful lot of "Jenny Claire! Jenny Claire" and "Excuse me, Jenny Claire, but can I...." We've been having a wonderful time with art and craft and books and Sci Port and fountains. Jenny Claire will need a few days to recover by the time Miss Mila goes home! I'm not used to so much activity and so much fun!

  1. So glad you are unlocked again--what a mess that was, for you, for Sam, for a bunch of other bloggers I know, too! Glad it's over. A Summer of Hummingbirds does look delicious, and love your pictures!

  2. Sorry to hear you're not reading much and that you and Sam have been having problems with your blogs!! However, it sounds like you're having a great time with your family!

  3. Wow, that's crazy about blogger. Glad you are back.
And, well, it looks like you are having a great time with the family so I think that's ok then that you aren't reading :)

  4. Glad you're back, and I know you've been having fun with the kids. The reading (and everything else) will be there when they're gone. I'd spend every moment I could with them.

  5. After reading about all the Blogger mess, I had my husband find a way to back-up my blogs. Took about 3 hours to get my book blog backed-up, but I'm relieved to have it done.

Enjoy your time with the kiddos. We're heading out to Virginia Beach for a week with our granddaughter. I'm looking forward to a lot of fun times at the beach. Nothing like a 6-year-old to make you feel like a kid again. I'm going to build sandcastles and eat lots of ice cream!

  6. You were locked out, too? Weird! I'm glad you're back. I seem to be the only person who hasn't had that problem (knocking wood).

That's a good kind of exhaustion. I sometimes miss having little ones, but I really like my kiddo as a teenager. He still doesn't mind going to a movie with Mom! How cool is that? :)

  7. Thank goodness you're sorted out. I heard of two more bloggers in the same position over the weekend, so I must check in with them and see if they're back in business. It's worrying when friends suddenly go off line.

  8. Gentle Reader - A bunch of quilt blogs also underwent the same process. Blogger must have really worked overtime to get people back on!

Danielle - Everything goes in cycles, and right now, I'm just not in the reading cycle. Which doesn't mean that I don't read every day, just that it is only for a few minutes at a time. :)

Iliana - Miss Mila keeps things hopping, while she is around, things are quite busy. Reading to her is a pleasure all its own.

Lisa- I know, the opportunity to be with grandchildren isn't available every day. Must give full attention when the stars align!

Les - A friend backed up my blog once, over a year ago. Should probably do it again.

Have a great time at the beach with your granddaughter! Quite right - nothing like a little one to make you feel like a kid again!

bookfool - The lockout problem seems to be solved.

There are advantages to each age, but they all pass so quickly. How much fun to share the movie-going experience with a teenager!

Ann - Yes...all sorted out. Lots and lots of bloggers went through it and all seem to be back in business. Thanks, Ann, for checking in.
