Oh my goodness that must have been very scary. Glad you are all okay, although it sounds like some stressful times coming up while you get it all sorted out. Thinking of you.
That's one of the things I don't miss about living back East: tornadoes. I hate those things. I'm so glad you're okay, and I certainly hope you don't have a major headache ahead of you in repairing all the damage.
I'm so sorry - what a rubbish thing to have happen. I had heard about these vaguely but I didn't know they were up your way. I'm happy you and your family are okay!
So sorry to see this. I saw some of the destruction on the news--it's awful. We dealt with something similar (though very high winds rather than tornadoes) the summer before this past. I love our trees, but they can do a lot of damage in a bad storm. Good luck getting things cleaned up! And glad you and your family are safe!!
Thanks to all of you for your concern! Clean up is ongoing, and we are fine. Problems are now arising for many more people because of over-topping of levees and levee breaches. We've had over 20 inches of rain this month and probably half of it from this storm. Neighborhoods that escaped damage from the tornado are now facing flooding. Fortunately, the water in our area receded quickly.
Wow, that's scary stuff, Jenclair. All we got in Houston from those weather systems was several inches of rain spread over two days. Glad to see that y'all are OK. Those things really spook me.
How horrible! Glad you are okay!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry Jenclair. :/ Although like Kelly, I'm glad you weren't injured.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Thank God no one was hurt!

ReplyDeleteThat poor tree and your poor beautiful house! Glad to hear you are okay, though.
