Love This Reading Journal

Source Books sent me this great reading journal:  Read, Remember, and Recommend by Rachelle Rogers Knight.
It contains lists of literary awards, best books, notable lists; a place to keep your TBR titles; a journal section (with reason for reading, recommended by, words to define, passages to remember, comments & thoughts); a place for loaner lists; and lots of (really, LOTS) of resources.
I need to keep the journal by my reading chair so I can jot down all those thoughts as I read...
BTW, :), many of your blogs are listed in the book blog resource section.

The book is a real treat for a reader.  Do check it out!  My thanks to Carrie for sending me this interactive reading journal!

  1. My first thought was to get myself a copy of this immediately. But the last thing I really need is more recommendations of books to read, and I know that's what I would really turn to first. But I like the idea of having a journal to put down thoughts as they occur to me. Maybe then I could remember them.

  4. Framed - I know; I have more books than time, but I do like the idea of keeping it where I can jot down notes. Of course, every once in a while, it will be fun to just glance through some of the lists!

joemama - I was really impressed when I started looking through it!

Nicola - Yep. Takes a Reader do know what readers want, eh?

Kay - The blogging list includes some of my favorite sites! In the virtual world, we are friends with celebrity bloggers!

  8. christina - It is really a joy in its own right, isn't it? Useful, too!

Sharon - A terrific resource that will be sitting by my reading chair. No more excuses for losing passages and quotes I might want to use and enough titles to keep me busy for another life time or two!

Danielle - I didn't either. Prizes, awards, and notable lists!

  10. Argh!! This was offered to me by the publisher and I turned it down, thinking it was going to be another Book Lust type book. Had I known it had all those wonderful check-lists, I would've snatch it up in a second. I love lists and I love checking off what I've read. This looks like a winner. Thanks for the review. :)

  11. LF - I'm enjoying going through some of the less well-known awards, especially those from other countries!

Les - The lists are great; I like checking things off, as well.

I also love looking at the different choices- the New York Times list vs that of the Los Angeles Times, Salon Book Awards vs CostCo picks...

  15. I'll be reviewing this one soon. As soon as I opened the package, I started marking which books on the awards list are on my shelves. I haven't looked at it in depth yet, but so far it's fun.
