My friend Suzie liked the fabric bead necklace
I wore to lunch when she was here for a short visit.
So I made her one.
It is in the mail now,
and I hope she likes it.
I really enjoy making these fabric beads
and they are perfect for using tiny scraps.

This is so beautiful. What a kind thing to do. She will love it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nan! I hope she does!
DeleteI love this necklace and I'm not much one for jewelry in any form. This makes me think of your fidget quilts. :-)
ReplyDelete:) The beads are my way of fidgeting!
DeleteThis is so original and beautiful, Jenclair! I think a bracelet looks good too! ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Melody! Making the beads is a meditative kind of activity. I added some to one of my fidget quilts, but kept making beads and didn't know what I was going to do with all of them. When I strung them into a necklace and got a compliment, I was thrilled. Making one for Suzie was especially fun!
DeleteReally beautiful! Your friend is lucky :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Stefanie! We have been friends since the 7th grade, and it was a pleasure to work on each little bead.
DeleteThat is so pretty- you've got a great eye for colour, as I've already seen with your quilts.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Vicki!
DeleteI am sure she will love it. It's beautiful, Jenclair.
