The Just Cityby Jo Walton is due to be released January 13, 2015; blog post scheduled for December 30. What if Plato's ideas from The Republic were actually carried out? So many philosophical questions debated. Loved it!
Monday's Lieby Jamie Mason -- I loved Mason's Three Graves Full and was thrilled to get this latest book from NetGalley. It doesn't disappoint. To be released in February; my review is scheduled for January 19, 2015.
I've loved everything I've read by Jo Walton, so I'll have to keep an eye out for The Just City. I think I would even if I'd never heard of Walton, the premise sounds intriguing.
I've been kind of hit-or-miss with Jo Walton, but the ones I've liked have been such a pleasure. This one, although I wondered for a while if I was going to like it, turned out to be one of those rare books with a huge impact. Excellent!

DeleteI've not heard any of these authors so I'm looking forward to your reviews. :)
ReplyDeleteThe reviews will be posted to their publication dates, but I wanted to mention them now, especially the first two because they are so interesting. :)
DeleteI am not ready to think about the New Year yet. LOL All of these sound good.
ReplyDelete:) I know, but these are available now on NetGalley!
