Last night, I had the pleasure of attending the Cirque de Soleil performance of Delirium. I posted about it here on my other blog with some links. Delightful, fantastic experience!

Started Avi's The Book with No Words: A Fable of Medieval Magic, but wasn't able to get much read. The book is for very young readers, and after the first page which I adored, slowed down a little. The names appear to have some mythological importance - Thorson, Odo (a talking raven), Sybil. I'll refrain from talking too much about it as I've not read enough.

I'm enjoying visiting other blogs taking part in Carl's Once Upon a Time Challenge; hoping to have more time to check on them in the days to come.

  1. I'm so jealous! I wanted to go to Delerium so bad, but the only tickets left are over $100. I see you're in Louisiana too :) It's in New Orleans this weekend, but unfortunately, I'll miss it. I love Cirque Du Soleil, but unfortunately I've yet to actually attend one. The new Beatles one, LOVE, looks great.

I'm enjoying visiting all of these blogs as well. Yours is one that I've popped onto occasionally for awhile, and you look to be the next regular on my list ;)

  2. I'm kind of disappointed that I discovered Carl's latest challenge the day after I decided to stick to just one (the Spring Thing). His are always so interesting. I'll enjoy reading about your choices, though, and those read by others joining in. So far, I enjoyed one of the two Avi books I've read; the other was rather dull.

  3. Chris - Delirium was great fun. I was lucky my brother had an extra ticket.

Yeah, dat rite, but up here we can't decide if were in Arkansas, Texas, or Louisiana!

Bookfool - I'd been preparing for Carl's challenge and was easily able to combine them. Finished the Avi book, and it was dull, too.

  4. I'm jealous, the Cirque du Soliel show sounds marvelous.

  5. Carl - Oh, yes! And something that would be right up your alley 'cause it is both fantasy and fantastic!
