I've read one book by Avi, with my kids. It was Windcatcher, a great children's myster story. Your whole list looks good!

ReplyDeleteI read Amulet of Samarkand several weeks ago and absolutely fell in love with Jonathan Stroud and the Bartimaeus trilogy! (I'm currently reading Ptolemy's Gate.) You'll have to let me know what you think of it!
ReplyDeleteI see a lot of YA - something that I intended to do but more with classics like Kidnapped and Jungle Book. There was an amazing special at chapters and I just picked up half a dozen. Sooo exciting. i love challenges.

Nessie -Yes, about half of them are YA or children's lit, and I'm excited that so many look good.

Sounds like a wonderful list! I really enjoyed Coraline myself. But that's the only one I've read.
