I checked Stress Fracture out because Lyle has been a consultant to writers on CSI: Miami, Law and Order, and House. However, consulting and creating a novel are two different skill sets, and I deplore the need to try to make each crime novel more about the horrific elements of a crime than about the characters. Needless violence and little character development. Fiction. Crime. 2010. 394 pages (but unusually large print).
